If it's a website, then it will be booked within 2 business days of the agreement being signed.

A WHOIS record can tell us important information about a client's domain, including the Name Servers and registrar. When looking to setup a new website for a client, this can be important in determining who should already have access to the accounts we will need to make changes in.
There are many sites online that allow users to lookup WHOIS information, and for those who are more technical, WHOIS lookup can be completed directly from a "terminal" window on a computer.
https://whois.domaintools.com/ will complete WHOIS lookup that returns a list of summary information as well as the complete record in text format for any domain that you input.
As an example https://whois.domaintools.com/staynimble.co tells us that the Domain StayNimble.co is
- registered by Lift Interactive Inc.
- registered with GoDaddy (registrar)
- was first registered in 2020
- is using Cloudflare for DNS management (name servers)
Servers, the places where information is stored, are identified by Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, which are a string of numbers. Remembering all of the numbers would be very difficult, so the Domain Name System (DNS) was conceived. The system allows for the use of Domain Names / URLs rather than expecting you to remember the specific number combinations for each site that you want to visit.
DNS acts like a pointer - when you enter https://staynimble.co, a DNS server receives that information and then translates that into the appropriate IP address to let your browser know what information you're looking for. Your browser can then load the website that you were looking for.
If you would like to know the information that is available for DNS, including Name Server details, for any particular URL, you can look that up using an online tool.
For example: https://intodns.com/nimbledigital.com can tell us a lot of information about the setup of the Nimble web URL. Most importantly for our purposes, using the DNS record we can quickly tell that the DNS is being managed by Cloudflare. The Nameserver records are the first records returned in the table. This is important for looking up information to determine how to move forward with a transfer of DNS information.
If we don't know the client's registrar detail, we may also need to do a WHOIS lookup to determine the registrar and domain ownership details.
